The GSHPA becomes a stronger voice for lobbying for the
industry with each new member who joins. We welcome
everyone aiming for high standards who serves the ground
source energy industry and wishes to prosper with it
including consultants, suppliers, drillers, trainers as well as
installers of ground source energy systems.

We welcome utility companies who supply the electricity that
runs heat pumps – they have an opportunity to demonstrate
their commitment to renewable energy by supporting the
high installation standards that the GSHPA promotes.

We welcome local authorities who have an opportunity to
demonstrate their desire to see new construction projects
incorporating green energy technologies.

On joining GSHPA, all our members agree that all heat pumps (or systems) they supply are in accordance with the GSHPA Standards. The following Standards and guidance documents are free of charge to our members (saving our members up to £1400) and are available on request by emailing info@gshp.org.uk:

• MCS Drilling Standard
• Vertical Borehole Standard (currently under review and unavailable at this time)
• Shallow Ground Source Standard
• Environmental Good Practice Guide for ground source heating and cooling
• CP2 Surface Water Source Heat Pumps: Code of Practice for the UK
• TTF Standard currently being created with GSHPA members

AGM/Conference & Charity Dinner
Each year GSHPA holds a AGM & Conference and in 2021 we held our first charity dinner. This year we are doing the same with the conference FREE to all GSHPA members. Alongside the Conference, we hold our Annual General Meeting where all our members are encouraged to come along to hear the yearly report on activity and vote for new Council members. There are sometimes spaces available on Council too if you wish to be considered.
