To get the full benefit of a GSHP installation you will need to employ someone with design and installation experience. A ground source heat pump may not perform well unless it is incorporated in a good design by someone who understands the needs of the building, the use to which the building is being put and the local geology.

Advice on ground source energy is a specialist field. Many of the M&E consultancies have a general understanding of ground source energy, but this may not be sufficient to get the best out of a commercial ground source heat pump installation, particularly if you are looking to achieve a high coefficient of performance on both heating and cooling. Expert advice may enable a saving in initial capital cost as well as in annual running costs.
